Passero Associates is glad to be supporting the Albany County Airport Authority, providing full aviation consultant services for the needed Air Cargo Pavement Rehabilitation at the Albany International Airport (ALB).

The Passero Airport Services Group is led on this project by Matt Nissen, PE, Associate and Senior Project Manager from Passero’s Albany office. Mr. Nissen says, “We are excited to work with the Airport Authority to gather the necessary information to identify the cause of failure on the apron and determine a mutually agreed solution to rehabilitate. The project will provide a safe and structurally sound cargo loading area for UPS to continue its daily operations for many years to come.”

Passero is providing an efficient, effective solution for design for the rehabilitation of approximately 20,000 SF of Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement on the south end of the Air Cargo facility ramp, in accordance with FAA specifications. Surveying and geotechnical testing are underway, with core sampling of the PCC to determine the cause of the significant pavement failure.

Passero Associates thanks the Authority for selecting Passero as trusted aviation advisors, and looks forward to a successful partnership, “Going Places” at ALB.
