Passero Associates is pleased to announce that Project Architect Dustin Welch, AIA has been honored with the AIA New York State (AIANYS) Young Architect Award.
This award was established in 2019 to recognize notable contributions and accomplishments to the architecture profession by a young architect member in New York State who has also demonstrated exceptional leadership. The Young Architect Award was presented to Dustin at the 2021 AIA New York State Board of Directors meeting.
Dustin’s achievements and his ongoing commitment to the field of Architecture have earned recognition both within and outside our firm. He was named the “Emerging Architect of the Year” by AIA Rochester and was a key factor in AIA Rochester’s being awarded the “Emerging Professionals Component” from AIA New York State. He graduated from the Passero Associates PAL Leadership program and has received many firm Cornerstone awards, which are given to employees for outstanding service to our clients and our firm.
Dustin’s exemplary design work on our projects and his contributions to our client’s satisfaction and success are essential. These projects have been recognized with numerous awards, including for Historic Preservation, Design Excellence, and as one of “Rochester’s Coolest Spaces.”
Outside of work, Dustin is heavily involved in community and professional endeavors. He is the current Vice President of the ACE Mentor Program of Rochester, helping guide students into the profession of Architecture. He has worked with Architecture students at RIT Architecture. He has also held several leadership roles within AIA Rochester.
Dustin is a highly qualified individual that is constantly seeking to be the best possible Architect and he is well deserving of this recognition as the AIANYS Young Architect of the Year.
