Passero is excited to announce that Lamar Davis has joined the company to expand business development as their Regional Director, Project Development. As the company continues to plan for future growth around North Carolina, Lamar will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, aligning partnerships, and forming strategic objectives among Passero’s targeted business units in aviation, housing, municipal, and commercial. A seasoned professional in engineering construction and project management, Lamar brings more than 30 years of experience to the firm and will be based in the company’s Charlotte office to manage clients and projects within the civil engineering group. He will be combining forces with Melanie Reddrick, Regional Director, who is leading business operations in the Charlotte region, and Jeremy White, Passero’s National Multifamily Design Director.

Melanie Reddrick - Regional Director
Previously with the City of Charlotte as an engineering project manager in transportation and infrastructure, Lamar has managed multimillion dollar contracts and supervised a variety of city and industry staff. His project experience ranges from concept to warranty phase that include budgets, schedules, contracts, public meetings, invoicing, approvals, quality control, estimates, and submittals. Working in both private and public sectors, Lamar has managed community projects such as the Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program (CNIP) to handling federal and state (NCDOT/SCDOT) contracts involving corridor improvements, streetscapes, public plazas, stormwater, water and wastewater projects.
On the construction side, Lamar has served as Construction Project Manager supervising contractors and inspectors on City projects. In this role, he facilitated monthly construction field meetings to discuss on site concerns and obtain project status information.
Lamar’s background includes serving on the Advisory Board of ITT Technical Institute as a formal member and is a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He earned a Master of Science in Public Administration from Strayer University and has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from South Carolina State University.
Outside of work, Lamar takes great pride in volunteering for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), his church community, and other civic organizations. He enjoys traveling with his family, watching movies, and listening to a variety of music with a penchant for Jazz.
