Passero is pleased to announce a critical new addition to our architectural team! Meet Steve Kushner, AIA, our newest hire, specializing in aviation and municipal architecture. With a diverse portfolio, Steve brings invaluable experience, a collaborative approach, and a proven track record on numerous aviation and municipal projects.
Notably, Steve played a lead role in renovating the terminal at Anchorage International Airport, a pivotal hub for both cargo operations and Alaskan tourism. His work encompassed revamping key areas such as the ticketing zone, B Concourse, security checkpoint, and baggage claim areas, ensuring an authentic Alaskan experience. Steve's project experience also includes the Airfield Fire and Rescue Services facility along the flight line on the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe, Hawaii; a hospital expansion for Air Force training; and various vehicle maintenance facilities and parking garages.
Steve has helped shape our built environment in New York State via a wide variety of project types. He was the lead architect for 260 East Broad Street in Rochester, a five-story mixed use retail, commercial, and residential development that won the AIA Rochester Design Award. Steve was the project lead for several other significant projects: a new Department of Public Works facility for the Town of Irondequoit, a new courthouse for the Town of Henrietta, a new design/build 300,000 sf hazardous materials storage warehouse, and the conversion of an unoccupied cold storage warehouse into a waterfront event venue in the Outer Harbor of Buffalo.
Passionate about marrying technical requirements with innovative user experiences, Steve is poised to elevate Passero’s aviation and municipal design projects to new heights. We are excited to welcome him to the Passero Aviation and Municipal Architecture team!
