Description

Loft-style apartments, commercial space including the Living Roots Winery, and indoor parking were created in a 101,000 SF former manufacturing facility, utilizing historic tax credits. The space features entrances on both University Avenue and Sager Drive for commercial spaces, private access for residents, and the conversion of existing area wells into a light-filled, two-story atrium from which the apartments are accessed. Two unique units will include living space in a third-floor addition and a rooftop terrace that takes advantage of a magnificent view of the Rochester city skyline. In addition to designing the apartments and common areas, Passero also completed the majority of the tenant buildouts including a winery, laser eye surgery space, AV Science distribution and office space, and a photography studio.

Passero provided interior design services for this project, including professional assessment, planning, and completion of a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing interior space. Passero developed and implemented a comprehensive design that incorporated the desired style and purpose of the space, while integrating ergonomics, sustainability, and accessibility.
