Passero Associates completed an architectural renovation to an existing 3,000 square foot Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle building at Watertown International Airport. Renovations consisted of new insulation, new siding, new overhead doors, and a new roof. The project also included construction of two additions. The first addition is 2,700 square feet and consists of two new vehicle bays designed to meet FAA specifications for door size and space requirements around an ARFF vehicle. The second addition is 1,000 square feet for the storage of ARFF equipment and supplies. Each structure is a pre-engineered metal building including the existing structure. This project was accomplished with grants from the NYSDOT and a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.
