Description

This building involves the creation of a new building for a new program to be located at the Olean campus of Jamestown Community College. After detailed conversations with the local business community, the program evolved into a welding, CNC, and machining focused curriculum in the shops. The community also needs CAD technicians, electrical engineers, mechanical designers and construction specialists. This diverse curriculum is housed in a new facility along with the continuing education department to enable a smooth transition into the workplace and continuing certification programs. The project also includes “maker space” to encourage emerging companies to share the shops.

Passero provided interior design services for this project, including professional assessment, planning, and completion of a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing interior space. Passero developed and implemented a comprehensive design that incorporated the desired style and purpose of the space, while integrating ergonomics, sustainability, and accessibility.
