Description

The project purpose was rehabilitate Runway 18-36, from the Runway 36 end threshold to,approximate Sta. 88+00, including shoulder pavement and the reconstruction/extension of the Approach End Runway 36 (South End) blast pad. The general scope of the project include mill and overlay of the Runway pavement, including shoulders (approximately 140,000 SY) as well as mill and overlay of the connector Taxiways ‘H’, ‘V’ and ‘Z’ (approximately 6,000 SY). Work items included pavement milling, pavement crack repair and sealing, full depth pavement repairs with installation of relief joints at PCC pavement underlay, bituminous overlay, shoulder and blast pad pavement reconstruction, storm drainage installation (24” RCP and inlets), subsurface drainage installation, runway pavement grooving and new pavement markings.
