Runway Pavement and Centerline Lighting at Albany International Airport

Scoping, design, bidding, and construction administration of the main 8,500’ long commercial service runway. Included evaluation of the in-pavement centerline and touch down zone lighting systems, and associated drainage improvements. Managed the inspection and geotechnical exploration, and utilized the MicroPAVER software to update the 2010 Albany International Airport Pavement Management System. Completed all pavement distress inspections, MicroPAVER input and analyses, and computed PCI calculations, in accordance with FAA advisory circulars. This approach provides both the necessary FAA funding justification and critical technical data to evaluate alternative rehabilitation strategies and compute associated life-cycle costs.
