Description

The City of Dayton selected the Passero/LWC/GS&P Team to conduct and prepare a Sustainability Master Plan (SMP) which will address the City Owned and operated facilities at the Dayton Wright Brothers Airport (MGY), and will provide recommendations for tenant facilities as well. The MGY Sustainability Master Plan is included in the FAA’s Sustainable Master Plan Pilot Program and included the following major elements, consistent with the FAA’s Interim Guidance for SMPs.

  • Baseline Assessment and Inventory
  • Conduct Greenhouse Gas (GHG) assessment
  • Assess Waste Stream / Recycling Practices
  • Development of Sustainability Goals and Initiatives, as well as developing an Implementation and Monitoring Plan
  • Develop Sustainable practices that are compatible with and complement the Airport Master Plan Update (long range plan) which is currently under development at MGY
  • Prepare final Master Plan Report including Highlights Report

The planning effort will provide an overall Sustainability Master Plan for the Airport which includes detailed Sustainability Initiatives outlined in an Implementation Program with Scoring / Monitoring metrics to track progress.
