Terminal Building at Joseph Y. Resnick Airport

Design and construction of a 3,700 SF facility to be jointly used by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department and Joseph Y. Resnick Airport users. A public common area with panoramic views of the airport divide the sheriff’s wing and aviation planning and office areas.

The limited construction budget was a challenge and required an innovative approach to develop a suitable building to meet the needs of all the users. The final solution consisted of purchasing four modular units to comprise the majority of the building footprint, and integrate the modular units with the conventionally constructed common area and associated cathedral ceilings. The Town also agreed to be the general contractor and Passero coordinated these efforts.
