YMCA Westside of Greater Rochester

Passero Associates was retained to design this 35,000 SF state-of-the-art YMCA family recreation facility, which was added onto an existing YMCA gymnasium and daycare in the Town of Gates.  The project was completed in an eleven-month time frame.  Passero Associates provided Project Management, Architectural, Engineering, Surveying, Planning, Approvals Management and Construction Administration Services.

The building includes a wellness center with free weights; nautilus; aerobic and cardio stations; a family adventure center with a two-story curly-slide and cargo nets to climb on; a community room with computers, a wide-screen television, and a fireplace; and a child watch center. The natatorium houses a four-lane pool with an attached leisure-pool and a whirlpool.

In addition to the new building, enhancements were made to the existing daycare and gymnasium.
